This Egyptian stone shabti has a pale turquoise-green and cream surface, a tall rounded crown, a long straight beard and crossed arms. Incised markings run down the front of its narrow body, while the back is plain with mottled colour and texture.

Shabtis belong to an Egyptian funerary tradition of figures intended to perform work for the deceased in the afterlife. This piece brings that traditional figure form to a shelf or collection display.
