A broad earthy band divides the pale upper body from the warmer lower stone of this alabaster vase. Its rounded shoulders, gently tapered base and open flared neck form a balanced, classic silhouette.

At 28 cm high, it makes a substantial accent on a console or sideboard. The unlit view shows soft cream and taupe colouring; illumination reveals a deeper chestnut band and a honey-coloured mosaic of detail below it.

Alabaster’s natural veining and gentle translucency give each piece its own character. This vase is hand carved on the West Bank of Luxor, Egypt.
