Flowing honey-coloured shapes and smoky brown bands give this rounded alabaster vase a richly layered appearance. Its shoulders curve directly towards the open rim, creating a simple outline without a raised neck.
One side shows curved, descending patterns beneath the rim, while the reverse reveals broad horizontal bands crossed by lighter vertical veins. At 19 cm tall and 20 cm wide, it has a low, generous form that brings the stone pattern into focus.
Alabaster’s natural veining and gentle translucency give each piece its own character. This vase is hand carved on the West Bank of Luxor, Egypt.
