Dark amber-brown ribbons circle this tall alabaster vase, contrasting with lighter cream and honey-coloured layers. Its elongated body narrows into a tall neck beneath a flared rim, giving the piece a graceful vertical profile.
Fine vertical veins cross the broader horizontal bands, creating a richly layered pattern. The illuminated photographs bring out the contrast within the stone, from pale glowing areas to the deeper brown neck and bands.
Alabaster’s natural veining and gentle translucency give each piece its own character. This vase is hand carved on the West Bank of Luxor, Egypt.
The vase shown in the photographs is the individual piece offered.
