Our Gold Taweret Kneeling Statue celebrates Egypt’s hippopotamus goddess and her place in the stories of home and family. Recognizable by her hippopotamus features, she was associated in ancient Egypt with childbirth, motherhood and the protection of the household.
This miniature presents her in a kneeling pose on a square base with raised Egyptian decoration. A textured gold finish catches the details of her face and headdress, giving the figure a warm, distinctive presence. Taweret is a thoughtful choice for collectors interested in the goddesses of everyday life. Display her with your favourite Egyptian pieces or give her to someone who enjoys discovering the stories behind them.
Made in Egypt, every piece is hand finished by us in our Calgary store.
