Cream and amber-coloured bands run down the elongated body of this alabaster vase, crossed by a slender smoky line. Rounded shoulders rise to a short neck and a gently flared rim, giving the patterned stone a classic frame.

Standing 27 cm tall, it brings height and flowing lines to a shelf or console. The photographs show the individual vase unlit and illuminated, revealing the changing depth of its pale layers and warmer bands.

Alabaster’s natural veining and gentle translucency give each piece its own character. This vase is hand carved on the West Bank of Luxor, Egypt.
