A clean cylindrical shape lets the pale stone and sweeping honey-coloured vein define this alabaster vase. Its straight sides soften into a rounded base, with an open rim that keeps the profile simple.
At 24 cm tall and 13 cm wide, it has a slender footprint for a shelf, console or side table. Cloudy cream areas and a broad curved band of warmer colour make the individual stone pattern easy to appreciate.
Alabaster’s natural veining and gentle translucency give each piece its own character. This vase is hand carved on the West Bank of Luxor, Egypt.
The vase shown in the photographs is the individual piece offered.
