Fine golden-brown stripes flow down the broad cream body of this alabaster vase. Its rounded shoulders curve directly into a simple opening, creating a compact form that keeps the natural bands in focus.
Measuring 19 cm high and 19 cm across, it adds a rounded, substantial shape to a tabletop display. Unlit and illuminated photographs show the layered stone, including a darker patch along one side and finer lines between the larger bands.
Alabaster’s natural veining and gentle translucency give each piece its own character. This vase is hand carved on the West Bank of Luxor, Egypt.
