Ahmose I Bust

As the founder of the 18th Dynasty, Pharaoh Ahmose I's reign marked the transition from the Second Intermediate Period of fragmentation to the powerful and prosperous New Kingdom era, when ancient Egypt reached its peak. One of his more significant military campaigns was completing the expulsion of the Hyksos rulers from Egypt, defeating their forces and driving them out of the Nile Delta, which laid the groundwork for the reunification of Egypt. His military victories and administrative reforms reunified and revitalized the country after years of turmoil.
